The Aeronautica Militare, together with the Italian Army, the Navy and the Carabinieri, is one of the four Italian Armed Forces.
The Aeronautica Militare works for the safety of the country and its citizens by controlling airspace. In compliance with international agreements, the Aeronautica Militare conducts operations both in Italy and abroad.
The Aeronautica Militare is organized into three organizational levels:
- Central;
- Intermediate;
- Peripheral;
It is also made up of three main top Commands:
- Air Team Command;
- Logistics Command;
- Air Force Schools Command.
To enter the Air Force, you must pass a public competition, by registering for one of the notices published on the Air Force website or, for those aged 17 to 22, by entering the Academy.
