Bernard Arnault

Bernard Arnault is a French billionaire entrepreneur, chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton SE. He is the richest man in Europe and third richest in the world according to Forbes magazine. Born on 5 March 1949 in Roubaix in France, he obtained a degree in engineering and began working in his father’s company specialized in construction, Ferret-Savinel, which he converted into a real estate development company and later became its President, succeeding his father.

His his fortune, in addition to the excellent performance of the LVMH group of which he has been CEO since 1989, derives from the many controlling interests he has and from the capital gains of the groups in which he owns majority shares, not only LVMH, but also from the holding company Christian Dior and L Catterton.
