Christine Lagarde

Christine Madeleine Odette Lagarde is a French politician, until July 2019 director of the IMF (International Monetary Fund), a position she held succeeding her compatriot Dominique Strauss -Kahn.

Following the European elections in May 2019, she was nominated by the European Council as the next president of the European Central Bank, thus succeeding our Mario Draghi.

Previously, she was Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment of France from 2007 to 2011, with the specialized magazine Forbes which long included her in the list of 100 most authoritative women in the world.
