Football World Cup

The Football World Cup is the premier national football competition, held every four years. Created in 1930 by French manager Jules Rimet, its organization is now entrusted to FIFA.

In the history of the World Cup, Italy has become World Champion four times, in 1934, 1938, 1982, and 2006, finishing second in the 1970 and 1994 editions, and third in 1990.

The national team with the most victories is Brazil (5), followed by Germany and Italy (4 each), Argentina, France, and Uruguay (2 each), and then England and Spain (1 each).
