France 2024 elections

The France 2024 legislative elections will be held on Sunday 30 June. This is an early vote given that the polls last opened in 2022. The second round will instead be held on Sunday 7 July.

The electoral law of legislative elections in France is double-round majoritarianism. The country is divided into 577 single-member constituencies with each party or coalition presenting one candidate for each seat.

If in the first round a candidate obtains an absolute majority of votes, he or she is directly elected to Parliament. Otherwise we will proceed with a second round where all candidates who have obtained at least 12.5% of the votes will be eligible.
