In jargon, the term hacker takes on a negative connotation, but must be distinguished from the term cracker. Crackers are figures who enter information systems by infecting and destroying them for profit.
A hacker, on the other hand, is also a IT expert or enthusiast capable of analyzing complex data and facilitating access to these, improving networks, software and computers, and increasing the freedom and security of users on the Web.
