ICO

The term ICO, acronym of Initial Coin Offering - Initial Coin Offering, follows the Initial Public Offerings, i.e. the public offers of financial instruments offered by an issuer.

The ICO consists of a form of unregulated financing used by start-ups or other subjects in search of funds. All this is made possible by technology: the company that needs to raise funds implements this particular crowdfunding method by proposing to the public the project to be implemented through blockchain and gives tokens to lenders in exchange for their investment in the project.
There are several risks associated with this type of operation: the lack of regulation, doubts about whether or not rights exist on tokens, which can be very different depending on the type of project financed, and finally the fact that ICOs they constitute projects not yet developed, of which no one guarantees the success and success on the market.
