By property in law we mean the right to enjoy and dispose of things fully and exclusively. It is the legal system, with Article 832 of the Civil Code, that establishes the limits within which this faculty can be exercised.
Depending on the status of the legal entity to which the ownership of the right belongs, we speak of:
- private property;
- * public property.
Usually, the term property also means the asset same object of the right.
