Tunisia

Tunisia is one of the main countries in the North of Africa, with a total population that currently exceeds 11.5 million. The capital Tunis is the most important center of the country, while Hammamet is the most famous tourist resort as it overlooks the Mediterranean.

Also due to a very young population, about half of the population is in fact minors, the unemployment rate is high with the economy still essentially based on agriculture despite the not fully exploited subsoil riches.

After the long regime of General Ben Ali, in 2011 following the Arab Spring the country adopted a new constitution which, however, has not stabilized the country, so much so that currently the one from Tunisia is one of the main migration flows towards Italy.
