Barack Hussein Obama was the 44th president of the United States, in office from 2008 until 2016 after winning the presidential elections twice.
Barack Obama is a member of the Democratic Party and was the first black president of the United States, a detail that is not irrelevant in the context in which his first election took place.
Upon his inauguration, Obama found himself having to face a serious economic crisis resulting from the bursting of the real estate market bubble with the consequent subprime mortgage crisis which then led to a destabilizing chain reaction on the financial markets whose consequences have not yet ended nor in the USA nor in the rest of the world, including Europe.
Having completed his two terms in the White House, Obama is currently involved in his Foundation managed together with his wife Michelle, as well as being a lecturer.
