The domain www.google.com was registered on 15 September 1997, from an idea of Larry Page and Sergey Brin, students of Stanford University. The two thought that a search engine based on the mathematical analysis of the relationships between websites would give users better results than the techniques used previously.
Google search engine was born even before the company to which it belongs, the Google Inc . founded a year later.
Over time, the fame, reliability and use of Google as a primary search in the web world have forced the company to expand its services. In addition to listing and indexing web resources, Google Search performs the same order for photos, news, places, maps, translations, videos and even emails.
The search on Google is so widespread that the domain, translated into all languages, is in general the most visited site in the world and the name of the search engine itself was the basis for coining the verb that indicates its use, such as in Italian googlare.
The peculiarity of Google Search is the completely white page with the large colored logo in the center and below the space to type what you need to search on the net. On some particular days of the year, for anniversaries or topical issues, the logo also changes in an animated version, when it happens it is called Doodle
