Steve Jobs was an important American entrepreneur and computer scientist. He is considered among the first pioneers of information technology together with Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates and Adriano Olivetti.
Known for having introduced the first personal computer with a mouse to the general public and for successful products such as the Macintosh, iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad, he was among the first to understand the potential of the mouse and the icon interface.
He was ranked first among the 25 most powerful businessmen of 2007 by Fortune.Co-founder of Apple Inc. he was CEO until 2011, when he resigned for health reasons (pancreatic cancer which led to his death in October of the same year).
He also founded the company NeXT Computer. He was CEO of Pixar Animation Studios before its purchase by the Walt Disney Company.
