Instagram

Instagram is the successful photographic social network linked to the free application of the same name: launched in 2010 only on the iOS operating systems, two years later it also arrived for Android and the following year for Windows Phone.

Initially it was only possible to edit square photographic formats, with filters and frames that deliberately recalled Polaroid-style snapshots that could also be shared on other social networks. Subsequently, Instagram opened the doors to videos, then to mixed photo formats until the most recent launch of Stories, Live and multiple posts.

Since 2012 it has been owned by Facebook Inc. and today it can boast 600 million active users per month and also the desktop and web versions.

Each user has a personal profile - public or private - editable, with an identification photo and a description (optional). To follow public profiles it is necessary to click on "Follow", for private ones the request must be sent in the same way.

Once logged in, on the main screen you can see your Home, likes and Explore section with posts from users from all over the world.

On Instagram, you can comment and like posts, tag other users, and send direct messages. It also has two free tools which are Boomerang and Layout, the first for making short loop videos, the second for quickly creating photo collages.
