The PlayStation is a video game console manufactured by Sony Computer Entertainment, a division of Sony. It competes commercially with Nintendo Wii U and Xbox One.
The first version was presented in 1994, completely revolutionizing the reference market. The series covers the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth generation of video game consoles.
In addition to Playstation 1,2, 3 and 4 (PS4) Sony has also created Playstation Portable, Playstation Vita and PlayStation VR, the virtual reality headset.
Three years after the release of PS4, in September 2016 Sony launches two new versions: PS4 Slim (lighter and smaller) and PS4 Pro (improved hardware and support for 4K and HDR resolution).
Between 2018 and 2020, the release of the new PlayStation 5 is expected.
