Galaxy is the family of smartphones, tablets and smartwatches designed by Samsung Electronics. The line includes the Galaxy S series for high-end smartphones (the top of the 2017 range is the new Galaxy S8), the Galaxy Tab for tablets, the Galaxy Note for tablets and phablets with the addition of the S Pen, and the Galaxy Gear for smartwatches.
Samsung Galaxy devices use the Android operating system produced by Google, usually with the customized user interface called TouchWiz. This tradition was broken at CES 2016 with the announcement of the first Galaxy device with Windows 10, the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S.
The high-end Samsung Galaxy devices are those of the S, Note, Pro series; for the medium-high and medium range we find the Galaxy A, C, E and W; while the cheaper and less performing models are marked by the letters J, V, Y.
The last Samsung Galaxy released in 2017 were the new A7, A5 and A3.
