Stellantis

Stellantis N.V. is an Italian-French multinational company based in the Netherlands operating in the automotive sector. It was founded on 16 January 2021 following the 50/50 merger between the Italian-American holding Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the result of the acquisition of Chrysler Group by Fiat in 2014, and the French car manufacturer Groupe PSA, which was in turn founded in 1976 from the merger between Peugeot and Citroën.

The company also owns 15 automotive brands including Fiat, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Citroën, Opel, Maserati, Lancia, Abarth and Chrysler.

Stellantis N.V. can boast over 50 production plants in more than 25 countries. In Italy the holding company owns the factories in Cassino, Modena, Melfi, Grugliasco, Turin, Pomigliano d’Arco-Acerra and Val di Sangro-Atessa. The engines and components are instead produced in the factories of Cento, Termoli, Rivalta di Torino, Mirafiori, Pratola Serra and Verrone.

The current president of the automotive group is John Elkann, while the position of CEO is held by the Portuguese entrepreneur and business manager Carlos Tavares, who already occupied the same position within Groupe PSA. Among the members of the Board of Directors of Stellantis N.V. also include Robert Peugeot, vice president and non-executive director of the company, and Andrea Agnelli, non-executive director.
