Recurrences such as birthdays and various holidays (Easter, Christmas etc.) represent the perfect opportunity to brush up on one of the most useful functions of WhatsApp: the possibility of sending a message to multiple contacts at the same time (without resorting to groups). Its use is almost essential when you need to send greetings to many people or organize a party. Sending a WhatsApp multiple, in fact, can save you time and effort: a simple tap on the screen is enough to send an update to all party participants or, for example, celebrate the beginning of the new year together.
After seeing how to send scheduled and automatic messages, here are the steps to send a message to all WhatsApp contacts without having to copy and paste the text and without having to manually select them one by one from the address book, in a simple way it’s fast.
How to send a WhatsApp to multiple contacts with the broadcast list
To text with several people at the same time, just create a broadcast list. We open WhatsApp and touch the menu with the three dots at the top of the screen, to the right of the "search" function (represented by a magnifying glass). Among the various items present we must select the second, “New broadcast”. On the next screen we can proceed to select the contacts to whom you want to send the message, bearing in mind that only those who have our phone number saved in the address book will receive the sent communication. A check mark appears next to the profile image of the selected user enclosed in a green dot.
At the top of the screen you can see all the contacts added to the broadcast; to remove one, all we have to do is touch the icon that represents it. The list is in alphabetical order, but if you want you can use the search function to find a specific person. The maximum limit of contacts that can be added to a broadcast is 256.
Once the selection process is complete, there is nothing left to do but tap the green button at the bottom right (inside there is a white check mark). In the next screen we can write the message to be sent to everyone at the same time. If desired, it is also possible to attach multimedia contents such as images, videos and voice messages.
We will be able to use the list created to send multiple messages also in the future, quickly and easily, since it will always be available on our WhatsApp homepage, ready for use at any time. Those who want to delete it (perhaps because they realized that they have not added all the people they wanted to reach) must do nothing but find it in the screen reserved for chats, tap for a few seconds to select it, press the trash icon (placed in top right) and touch the item “delete”. There is also the possibility of removing all the multimedia contents related to the broadcast list: simply check the "Also delete the media received in this chat from the phone gallery" option before deleting the list.
Unlike communications sent in a group, those broadcast via the broadcast list are viewed by users as normal individual messages. The answer also comes in the classic chat to "you for you" which is carried out with the person in question.
