Jeff Bezos is an American entrepreneur who played a key role in the growth of e-commerce as the founder and CEO of Amazon (AMZN). He is the richest man in the world according to Forbes, with a net worth of $126.5 billion (as of 04/19/2018).
Under his leadership, Amazon.com became the largest retailer on the World Wide Web and the role model for Internet sales.
After graduating from Princeton University in 1986, Bezos worked on Wall Street in the field of information technology. He designed the construction of an international trade network for a company known as Fitel. He then moved to Bankers Trust, where he soon became a vice-president. Later he also worked in IT for DE Shaw & Co.
In 1994, he founded Amazon, a leading company in internet commerce.
