FIFA has announced that the 2025 Club World Cup prize money will be divided as follows: 525 million as a fixed participation fee for the 32 teams, while the remaining 475 million will be given in the form of performance-based bonuses.

According to FIFA, all revenues will be distributed to club football, with the TV rights of the 2025 Club World Cup having been assigned to Dazn for 1 billion dollars: the broadcaster has committed to broadcast all the matches for free.

From the box office point of view, so far there have been few tickets sold, so much so that tickets have now been put on sale at a bargain price with a consequent refund for those who had bought the ticket at full price.

2025 Club World Cup: teams earnings

To understand how much they can earn, we need to proceed step by step. First there is the guaranteed token which for European clubs ranges from 12.81 to 38.19 million dollars based on the ranking.

For example, based on this, Inter should receive a fixed portion of 24 million, while Juventus will have to settle for a figure of between 18 and 20 million.

Then there is the portion of the prize money assigned based on the results. For the three group matches, the clubs will collect 2 million for each win and 1 million for draws.

The bulk, however, will be distributed based on the various round progression according to this system.

  • Quarter-finals: 13.125 million
  • Semi-finals: 21 million
  • Finalist: 30 million
  • Winner: 40 million

Adding up all these items, for FIFA the winner of the Club World Cup 2025 will earn around 125 million dollars, a significant figure even if lower than the initial estimates.

Then there are all the indirect advantages linked to the presence in the Club World Cup: from sponsors to marketing to social. In essence, in addition to cash, many other revenue items would increase significantly.
