Dan Ives is widely regarded as one of Wall Street’s most bullish analysts on AI stocks in particular and on the technology sector more broadly. With 2027 not far off, he has named the stocks that make up his top investment ideas for the year ahead.

Ives has picked five names in all, arguing that “investors are underestimating the scope and size of this $4 trillion wave of investment expected over the coming years.”

Dan Ives’ top 5 stock picks for 2027

The five stocks Ives has chosen are Nvidia, Microsoft, Palantir Technologies, Apple and CrowdStrike.

Ives had recommended all five in the past, when he served as global head of technology research at Wedbush Securities, before taking his current role as partner and senior managing director at the merchant bank Yorkville Ives, which he helped found earlier this year.

In the AI revolution, supply, not demand, is what matters

Explaining his five bets, Ives said that “at this stage of the AI revolution cycle, it is supply, not demand, that makes the difference.”

The team he leads wrote in a note that it believes “AI infrastructure development is still in its early days,” which is why “we maintain a decidedly bullish view on the prospects of the tech sector’s winners in the coming years.”

The team also made one point explicit: the AI story no longer concerns a single sector, but now involves “the capital, energy and policy of the entire economy.”

Ives’ latest comments come as the Magnificent Seven stocks are gaining ground again after the difficulties they experienced early in the year. It was the seven Big Tech companies that allowed the S&P 500 to reach a new all-time high, its first since August 13, also lifting the Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF and the Nasdaq Composite, which likewise closed at record highs.

As a reminder, the Magnificent Seven club includes Apple, Amazon, Alphabet (Google), Meta, Tesla, Microsoft and Nvidia.

Coverage of 49 stocks: price targets for Apple, Alphabet, Nvidia, Meta and others

Ives and his team have also initiated coverage of 49 names across the technology sector.

Among them are Alphabet and Apple, each assigned a price target of $400. Coverage of Amazon was initiated with a price target of $300.

Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla received price targets of $900, $615, $300 and $500, respectively.

Coverage was also initiated on SpaceX, with a price target of $225. All of the stocks were given an Outperform rating.

The team reiterated its bullish view on tech stocks, stressing that the AI infrastructure segment will remain characterized by supply-side constraints “at least through 2027,” and adding that companies controlling scarce resources in computing capacity, memory and electrical power are already benefiting from rising demand.

Other stocks favored by his team include SoftBank, the Japanese holding company focused on technology investments, which received an Outperform rating with a price target of $290 per share.

CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity company, received the same rating with a price target of $335.

The bull who called Nvidia’s CEO the “godfather of AI” and Palantir the “Messi of AI”

Ives, who also launched a clothing line last year, is one of the best-known and most optimistic tech analysts in the market.

In 2023 he called Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, the “godfather of AI” and described Palantir as the “Messi of AI,” a reference to soccer star Lionel Messi.

Since then, the shares of both companies have posted exponential gains.

Last month, the analyst launched Ives Ultra AI Opportunities Inc., a closed-end investment fund that invests in late-stage private companies active in artificial intelligence and the infrastructure needed to run it.

Ives has already created two ETFs bearing his name: the Dan IVES Wedbush AI Revolution ETF, launched in 2025, and the Dan IVES Wedbush AI Power & Infrastructure ETF, which came to market earlier this year.

Among the stocks Ives picked for 2026, the best performer was CrowdStrike, whose shares jumped 138% amid fears tied to the growing power of artificial intelligence models.
