Arch Manning’s NIL valuation now sits at $2.5 million.
On3 refreshed the figure on August 21, 2026, and it records one of the strangest repricings in the short history of college sports economics. Twelve months earlier the same platform valued Manning at $6.8 million — the largest number attached to any student-athlete in the country, and the price tag on a preseason Heisman favorite leading the preseason No. 1 team. The decline is $4.3 million, and it moved him from first to No. 52 in the NIL100.
He never lost his job. Texas went 10-3. He was named Citrus Bowl MVP against Michigan. The market cut his price by nearly two-thirds anyway.
Where Does Arch Manning’s Money Actually Come From?
Two engines: brand deals and school money.
The endorsement roster is unusually deep for a college player. Manning has agreements with Red Bull, Vuori, Warby Parker, Raising Cane’s, Uber, EA Sports and Panini America, whose long-running trading-card deal he recently expanded. In March 2026 he signed with Google Gemini, joining the AI company’s growing college portfolio. He also front-loads the calendar deliberately.
«I’m trying to get all that stuff out of the way before the season», Manning said at the Manning Passing Academy. «Obviously, you want to take advantage of what you can and make the right decisions on partnering with companies, but I’m focused on ball.»
The second engine is Texas itself. On3 splits its valuation into brand value and roster value — the share a school pays directly — and lists roughly $1.6 million on the roster side. Inside Texas reported that Manning will take a reduced revenue-sharing cut in 2026 to help the Longhorns fill holes elsewhere on the depth chart.
One distinction matters more than any headline: a valuation is not a paycheck. On3’s number is an algorithmic projection of annual earning power. The Athletic estimated Manning actually earned about $6.8 million in 2025, more than 35 college head coaches made in salary. Contract data compiled by Opendorse and reported by the Houston Chronicle put the figure closer to $3.5 million. Both can be defended; neither is audited.
What Is Arch Manning’s Net Worth in 2026?
There is no authoritative answer, and anyone quoting one to the dollar is guessing.
Forbes does not rank college athletes. Spotrac has no professional contract to log, because he does not have one. That leaves celebrity aggregators, which currently place Manning somewhere between $5 million and $6 million — estimates that have been repeatedly wrong in both directions across this category and should be read as a range, not a fact. The defensible anchors are the ones with sources behind them: a $2.5 million On3 valuation, roughly $1.6 million in projected roster value, and disclosed deal data in the $3.5 million to $6.8 million band for 2025.
For scale, an established NFL star in his earning prime operates an order of magnitude higher — Travis Kelce’s $90 million fortune took a decade of Super Bowls and a media business to build, and Tom Brady’s post-career balance sheet took two decades. Manning is 22 and has not been paid by a professional team yet.
How a $4.3 Million Valuation Disappeared
The slide was public and gradual. Manning shed $485,000 after last season’s opening loss at Ohio State, fell to $5.5 million by mid-September and dipped near $5 million after a 29-21 defeat at Florida. As recently as June 2026 he was still No. 1 on the NIL100, at $5.4 million. The August refresh cut that in half.
His production was not the problem. Manning threw for 3,163 yards with 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions, added 10 rushing scores and beat Michigan in a bowl game. On paper that is a good first year as a starter.
But NIL valuations price expectation, not box scores. Entering 2025 the market was not valuing what Manning was. It was valuing what he was supposed to become: a Heisman winner, a national champion, the next Manning. Texas missed the College Football Playoff, and the premium built on a surname came out of the price. The athlete who replaced him at No. 1 is Miami quarterback Darian Mensah, valued at $6.5 million — a reminder of how fast this market rotates. The same volatility runs through women’s college sports, where Caitlin Clark’s endorsement empire was built almost entirely off the court.
What’s Next for Arch Manning’s Money
Texas opens against Texas State at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, September 5, at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. From that afternoon, the Heisman campaign, the national title chase and the 2027 NFL Draft stop being offseason speculation.
That last item is the one that settles the argument. Manning is widely projected among the first names called in 2027, and the NFL’s rookie wage scale makes that outcome easy to price: the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft signed a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $54.6 million, an average of $13.6 million a year, and the 2027 slot will be larger still. It is the same mechanic that made Cooper Flagg’s rookie contract the financial story of his draft class. If Manning goes first, the $2.5 million figure updated on August 21 may be the final NIL valuation of his college career — and by some distance the smallest number he ever earns in a year.
