Commodity is the English term used in Finance to indicate goods that have no distinction between the companies that produce them.
The intrinsic value of commodities is always the same and is not influenced by the companies that produce it.

An example of commodities are precious metals, whose value does not vary according to the company that produces them; the same also applies to petroleum.
